A B-R-A-T, brat! And the Old Squidge sings The Seashell song. This is the movie debut of the fantastic Jan Duggan as Cleopatra Pepperday. She was spotted by the Great Man himself in a comic revival of The Drunkard - the very play that the troop are to put on in this film.

Passing as the Prince of Wales. The walk-on pretty girls were Flo Ziegfeld's idea, the comments were Bill's , so they stayed in the sketch.

Stand still and keep your eye on the ball. This was a sketch Bill performed in the Ziegfeld Follies updated for the talking pictures.

I would tell you from experience... If you don't chill out, I'm unwilling to be taking precautions from that point forward. Get the fuck out of my store before I make you leave!!!
I love this man,one of a kind. My dad use to tell me w.c. had money in banks all across this country. His humour more valuable than gold❤❤❤❤.
"But I was the one who started kicking her" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I heard myself talking in s family video last week, I sound like W.C. ! I growing up I repeated his routines too much.
One of the best early performers who was usually hammered
Thanks 🙏🏼 For Sharing
Mincemeat always looked like a glob of dead flies to me.

I love W.C.,his comedy and his acting! He invariably gets into situations that he never gets out of!I love his repartee, delivery and reactions.eg: his daughter tells him she’s going to marry…”that man””what man?”he asks,””the iceman “ she replies.” Then doing his famous surprise reaction “the iceman ??!!”.Also he always had a smooth line for the ladies, but could be brutally honest:”well ah deeclare my dear, you rank of ohld goehhtt”🌺❤️🥰🤗🫶😂😅💕🤩🎶🎶😄🥲🖖
Where in the world did they find the stunt baby?
I grew up watching delightfully as my father laughed until he was red and couldn't breathe. God bless W.C. Fields.
WIPES OUT A FRICKEN HARLEY DAVIDSON,
He has no equal.
The lady, Fay Adler, also played as Mr. Skinner's secretary in ,The Bank Dick, (1940).
For those of you who've never eaten a Kumquat, they are delicious.
When he puts the chalk in his mouth instead of the cigar LOLOL
Placing the basket on the pool table at the end was brilliant!
Thanks y’all
U gotta thanks buddy
"Oh yes, he knocked her down. But I was the one who started kicking her." Too funny!
funny when?
The same as they don't know George Raft was
You will never get this comedy back, unfortunately. Absolutely so so funny and clever. Wish someone would re invent this kind of thing. One of the greats 👍
VERY impressive - W.C. Fields was on another level talent-wise
He should have played Fast Eddie Felson. Fast Eddie: Fat man, you shoot a great game of pool. Minnesota Fats: So do you, Fast Eddie.
Truthfully I'm not much into slap stick kind of comedy ( i.e 3 stooges) but Mr Fields makes me laugh so hard my face hurts. Lol. If ur fan u have to watch a few times at least, as u hear things u missed & it's even funnier than u thought. Got lucky years ago my Mom found a bunk of his CDs, in a dollar store & bought all of them for me. One of my favorites is My little Chickadee. Mae West HATED him. Despite her personia she was very smart, a tea totalier, great with money. She owned a ton of land throughout Hollywood, etc. I read where many scenes were shot separately as she wouldn't b in the same room as him
I found it 😂 i knew he was drunk i used to down a bottle like that haha damn
A very funny clip.
Hahahahaha!!! That little lady was fabulous!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
W.C. Fields was the best!
... Shut up and get out from behind that bar. You're not wanted here... "You're crazy. I'm wanted in every state in the union".
I want kumquats!
He was a man of many talents. He was a juggler , it came to appreciation when he was on the golf course with the paper wrapper. Can't remember the name...
Hes even wirse than i was in my first and last attempt at playing pool. 😂😂😂
William Claude Dukenfeld was the funniest.
One of the ALL TIME CLASSIC routines ever.
Why do you drink so much....CUZ I LIKE IT
In all the razzle dazzle, do we know what happened to the glass eye? Did it remain safely in the tumbler of water until he returned it next morning? Doubtful
